WOULD YOU GIVE $100,000 TO A STRANGER?
May 31, 2012

We are raised not to trust strangers and much less with money.  However if you actually dare to believe in people’s ethics and generosity you might be surprised to find out that there are a lot of honest people out there, even if you do not know them.

Take for example winner Marilouise Bruens she was at a store not long ago and decided to buy an instant scratch lottery ticket called $100,000 Cashword. She went ahead and scratched it in the store, she read that she had to uncover six red words to win the top prize of $100,000 and that is exactly what she did.  She scratched the ticket little by little and saw one word surfacing, then two words and kept on scratching, three words now and kept on scratching, four words and then five were revealed.  Marilouise had to stop for a moment and reach out for some air before she started scratching some more and that is when she completed six words!   Now according to the game’s rules that makes her the rightful winner of $100,000.

But she simply could not believe it.  Why it is so unreal, it simply cannot be true.  So she had the bright idea to ask a stranger to double-check the ticket for her. Lotteries

Can you imagine what could happen if you hand over a lottery ticket worth $100,000 to a stranger. What if said stranger just happened to be a little on the unscrupulous side?

That would be like asking a stranger to hold your one-hundred-thousand-dollar-bill while you bend over to tie your shoe-laces. Trusting your money with strangers – That’s just something you should never do.

But that’s exactly what Marilouise Bruens did, she trusted a stranger with $100,000. It worked out well for her in the end for her. The stranger confirmed the win and gave her the ticket back. Now she’s $100,000 richer and happier than ever. This story shows that there are people out there who really have good intentions and are not planning to do you any type of harm.
