What would a million dollars more in your account do to you right now? How would it impact not only in your finances but also in everything that you would like to do and all your hopes and dreams? But would you consider winning a million dollars disappointing?
Who in the world would actually think that a million dollars is not exactly what they wanted? Well there is one person and that is Benjamin Colon, he loves to play Powerball and as with many he plays to win and never to lose, and he plays with his mind set to win the big gigantic, enormous and astronomical jackpot. So that is what he does, he follows Powerball drawings faithfully picking numbers randomly with the Quick Pick option. Lottery checker
Then one day a few weeks ago, Benjamin came so close to winning the Powerball jackpot. It was the June 9, 2012 draw. He matched the first five numbers. He was one number away from winning dozens of millions of dollars. Instead, he only won $1 million.
“I just randomly picked some numbers hoping to hit the jackpot,” Benjamin said. “Obviously I was disappointed that I was one number away from the jackpot, but I’m getting over it.”
We can totally relate to the disappointment though in order to win the jackpot he needed to match only one more number, matching five numbers was already such a great task why couldn´t he match the last number? Why didn´t the machine choose the last number to be a winning number as well ?
Only one number difference but many millions in distance yes that is definitely disappointing. However the consolation prize is not bad at all and to tell the truth, Colon is a very young man probably in his early twenties he has a lot of time to keep on playing Powerball and to aim for the jackpot. For now, he can focus in spending and investing wisely this amazing windfall, because one million bucks is still one million!
