WINNING CAN BE VERY SCARY
December 30, 2011

Winning is scary, would you believe it is possible? How can getting a great amount of money, money that can make your life so much more comfortable be scary. It is like having to relate a very pleasurable experience such as enjoying an ice-cream in the middle of summer and say it felt horrible and intoxicated your senses. Different people react so differently to a same stimuli, often it relates to their personality and the way they express their emotions. Lottery winning numbers

We have reported on winners who after they receive the news that they have won the lottery, the way to react towards this newfound wealth is to stay mum. And sometimes people stay mum, planning and contemplating carefully their options in such a way that they can actually take months to claim their windfall money. Yes, there are those who can react very subjectively. But others simply can´t control their emotions.

Winning a top prize on an Ohio Lottery instant game brought mixed emotions for a resident of Akron. Sandra L Mason won $500,000 on Holiday Treasures and she says it is unbelievable, awesome and scary. State lottery

Sometimes moments of extreme happiness can do that to you, it can make you cry, tremble and your mind goes dizzy at times and your legs simply can´t seem to hold you up. It is like an instant high, specially when you never ever thought it was possible. These are the of moments you might remember and look back upon it as a turning point in your life… that is if it wasn´t just a tantrum.

However we might all agree that given the chance that you win the lottery, you would also have some type of reaction.

“It has the potential to change a lot of things and we want to be reasonable, pay off some debt and invest for retirement,” Mason said.

And with great potential, and all the buying power that big amount of money entitles, also calls for a big responsibility. Yes, that of making use of these blessed funds in the best way possible.

Mason said that she can´t still believe it and although she already went to pick up her check she still thinks that this win is simply too good to be true. She will receive a check for for $345,000 after mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent are withheld.

Mason purchased the ticket from Spee D Foods #21, 2337 S. Main Street in Akron. Spee D Foods receives a $5,000 agent bonus for selling a top prize winning ticket.

Although the win was a bit unsettling for Mason, behind such a wave of emotion lies a woman with her feet well grounded. Usually, the most important priority for most lottery winners is to pay off some bills but after that usually comes the part where they say they would want something for themselves such as a new car or an exotic vacation. As for Mason, she is thinking about the future and maybe that is why she was so happy, her future is definitely brighter after this win and retirement might come a bit earlier too.
