WHEN TRASH BECOMES CASH
November 21, 2011

Not many times in a person´s life can you actually say that you turned something negative into positive, something useless to something useful and something that was just a piece of trash for someone into lots of cash. Lottery checker

Andrew Hunter, 24 did, he turned his trash into cash when he picked up a discarded Mega Millions ticket. He really didn´t know that the rules of the game implies that when one number is matched it wins $3 dollars, so when he discovered that the ticket he had picked up was worth something he retrieved the ticket from the dumpsters at the end of his driveway and headed to the Quik Trip, 1655 Buford Highway in Cumming, Georgia, This ticket actually matched one number plus the Mega Ball number. Once at the shop he made the decision to invest his $3 win immediately, so he asked for 3 “quick pik” tickets . This decision was critical in converting trash into a $250, 000 cash prize.

After he learned of his win, Hunter confessed that he would have never bought the tickets if he would not have pulled out the first ticket, winner of only $3 dollars out of the trash. Although he already holds the check in hand, he hasn´t processed the whole event just yet.

Hunter, from Dawsonville, currently works at Taco Mac and when asked what he thinks about his win he said that he was actually a bit stressed out because he now will have to really ponder and think carefully what he will do with all the money that he wasn´t going to have. But he calls it “a good stress”. However he is very conscientious that he really needs to find a constructive way to invest this windfall. He has expressed that he will need to figure out what he really wants to do with it, specially because he considers himself, quite frugal with his money.

So most probably you won´t be seeing him using this new-found wealth being used right away in a brand-new car or something flashy. Instead, Hunter is considering very seriously the opportunity of opening some type of business.

“Opening a business is quite a possibility,” Hunter said. “I want to own a beer brewery.”

Whatever the circumstances that lead Hunter to the string of events that made him the eventual winner of the 15th of November drawing the truth stands that he won. The numbers drawn were: 3-6-24-30-33 and the Mega Ball was 21. Sometimes it does take a series of events and decisions to lead you to success, luck and even love, if you come to think about it. And it is up to you if you would like to turn trash into cash.
