Lotteries across the states are doing a great job at having second-chance drawings. These drawings usually are in the form of sweepstakes and and some simply feature more cash prizes. What is great about these drawings is that only non-winning tickets apply to enter the draw. So if you didn´t win instantly you still have another shot at it. Lottery winning numbers
Arkansas Lottery has a second chance drawing called Play It Again. Any eligible scratch-off tickets that have not won a prize can be entered into Play It Again for another chance to win a big prize.
A few months ago, Shawny McClure bought a $10 scratch-off game from Arkansas Lottery called Cash Spectacular. It was a losing ticket, so she entered it into Play It Again for another chance at winning. Lottery checker
When you submit your ticket to Play It Again, you have to fill out all the usual details like name, address, and phone number. Shawny did that. However, since submitting the ticket, she got a new phone number. So, if she were to win and Arkansas Lottery were to call the number on the ticket, they wouldn’t reach Shawny. But well, what are the chances to win. So she paid no heed to it and did not notify the lottery about her change of phone number.
So it happens that it was Shawny McClure’s ticket the one that was chosen as the winner. She won $500,000! Unluckily the Arkansas Lottery had the wrong phone number so the called her but couldn´t get Shawny so that she could go immediately to pick up her huge check.
Luckily, nowadays lotteries use their websites as a great tool to inform players and so the winners information was posted on the Arkansas Lottery website. It happens that a relative of Shawny’s was scrolling through the winners’ names and, sure enough, saw Shawny’s name there. So, she called Shawny to her new phone to deliver the great news.
After the phone call from her relative, Shawny McClure was able to call Arkansas Lottery to confirm the news that she received. It was true, she really did win the lottery! And luckily everything turned out in the best way possible.
If you look at it Shawny was really stuck by luck. First she won a second-chance drawing, second although she was not careful enough and really thought that there would be no chance of winning the drawing she entered, she ended up winning a whole lot of cash. And third, she was extremely lucky that her relative was looking through the list of winners and saw her name. Just take out your calculators and work out this equation, what are the odds that this happens to a person? I would say it must be one in two million! What is true is, if you have been stuck by luck, sometimes it can be almost impossible to miss it !
