Roxi Cooley, 64 loves to enjoy and play Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets however she came to a point wherein she was about to give up for she was sure that top prizes were simply a myth. But as every myth, there is a time when you bust it. The license bureau employee was home with her husband, Greg, on Aug. 11 when they discovered the windfall.

“I had just told him that I bet they don’t put more than one big prize in here,” she recalled, referring to the “24K” Scratchers game. “I said, ‘I’d like to get the ‘Win All’ bar, but if I did, it would probably just be a $1.’ And about that that time, I got the ‘Win All.’ He said, “Well, scratch it off and see what it is.’ It was $2,400, and I just kind of sat there.”

Greg said excitedly, “Keep scratching. They’re all going to be that!”

The couple saw the top prize of the game, $24,000 simply unfold in front of their eyes. They were so excited that they were jumping up and down, even the dog was was growling seeing all the upheaval and excitement.

To make sure that they were seeing right and that the prize was not a myth, couple returned to the store where they bought the ticket to have it checked. A clerk at Troy Mills Country Store, 23284 Highway H in Kirksville, confirmed their good fortune.

“It took three days for it to sink in,” said Cooley.

Meanwhile they waited for a day off work to claim the prize, keeping the ticket safe at all times.

The couple already have a list of potential purchases and it includes new shingles for the house and a little extra fun on an upcoming vacation to a NASCAR race. Lottery winning numbers

Cooley had taken a liking to the 24K Scratcher game simply because she was “doing well” winning $100 and $50 from time to time, which is the reason why she would always go back to the game. This win however was not the first one for the couple, 12 years ago they also won $25,000 playing Show Me 5, since then she has been playing Scratchers with very good results.
