SOMEBODY IN PENNSYLVANIA IS $200,000 RICHER

Somebody, somewhere in Pennsylvania is $200,000 richer after purchasing a winning Powerball ticket from the May 21st drawing. The ticket holder owes her good luck to the Giant Food Store, located at 3 Doublewoods Road, Langhorne where she bought her lotto slip. The ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 02-08-40-49-50, but not the red Powerball 36, for a $200,000 second-tier prize, minus 25-percent federal taxes. On the other hand, the seller will collect a $500 additional benefit for selling the winning ticket. US lottery.

The identity of the May 21st winner won’t be revealed until the prize is cashed and the ticket is authenticated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to pick up their money. Lottery results.

The Lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery’s seven area offices.

The Powerball jackpot grew to an estimated annuity value of $144 million, or $74.7 million cash, for the Wednesday, May 25th, drawing. Last fiscal year, in addition to awarding more than $73.4 million in prizes to Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed $34.9 million to programs that benefited seniors in Bucks County.
