Pamela Imboden is a 55-year-old medical biller likes to shop for lottery tickets nearly every day, her favorite location is at the U-Gas on on Highway NN in Cedal Hill. On November 2nd she bought a Quick Pick Show Me Cash ticket and discovered the very next day that she was the winner.
Since she is very familiar with not only the store but with how the whole lottery system works, she naturally took the ticket to the store the next day and ran it through the check-a-ticket machine. When the screen flashed with the result Imboden said she couldn’t believe her eyes. Lottery results
“It said, ‘$225,000.’ I went, ‘No way,’” she said.
She had to actually really focus and make sure everything was correct and everything was right, and make sure there was not glitch on the system before she could actually take a deep breath and let the reality sink in. And what a reality!
As a regular client at the U-Gas, the clerk and other morning patrons celebrated her good fortune with cheer. Imboden even joked that if she had any money on her at the time, she’d have bought everyone a cup of coffee. Of course, she can always go back to the store and treat everyone once she has received her winnings.
But hope has not left Imboden alone, she has been the recipient of some good luck previously. Just a few weeks ago she won $10,000 on a $20 scratcher. You see, when you are persistent, hope pays. Although she has had her wins, Imboden she has been having rough times during the last five years and she has been in a constant struggle. Amongst her priorities is to “pay it forward” to those people who helped her out in the past. Other than that her she has expressed that she would also considering buying a new car.
The winning number for the November 2nd Show Me Cash drawing were 6, 14, 28, 33 and 39. And although Imboden could not treat the clerks at U-Gas when she discovered she was a winner, this Cedar Hill location will get a one percent bonus for selling the winning ticket. That is what a win – win situation is all about.
