Katherine Alderete loves playing scratchers and she was about to purchase yet another one with one which she had won when something else caught her eye.

About an hour after Monday night’s drawing, she discovered that one of her wagers matched the winning numbers of 5, 8, 16, 31 and 32 to beat odds of 1 in 435,897.

“I was laughing and crying,” she said.

Husband John, however thinks that she must have had a hysteric attack. “Gibberish was coming out of her mouth,” he said.

Alderete now will be able to make her dream come true as she is looking forward to use her windfall to buy a new house.
