Lee Pietrobon of Loganville celebrated a $1 million Powerball prize from the Georgia Lottery. Pietrobon luckily matched the first five numbers from the May 15 Powerball drawing, therefore he won $1 million.

Pietrobon, 78, decided to use his own combination and bought his lucky numbers at Publix Super Market #0789, 2715 Loganville Highway S.W. in Loganville.

A second winning ticket worth $1 million from Wednesday’s Powerball drawing was purchased at QuikTrip #713R, 1350 S.  Cobb Drive S.E. in Marietta. Nevertheless, the winner has not yet claimed the prize. It is worth mentioning that Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.

The grandfather of four said he picked the No. 2 because they were a couple – he and his wife – and our birthdays were in there.

Winning numbers from that Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were: 2-11-26-34-41 and the Powerball was 32.

Pietrobon said he wrote the numbers down and looked at them the following morning, adding that he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

Netterville, who works in St. Francisville, explained that she is planning to spend part of her winnings on a particular car she has eyed for some time, however was also planning to put most of the money into savings.

The winning ticket matched all five white-ball numbers but missed the red Powerball number. The winning numbers were 06-13-19-23-43 and the Powerball number was 16. Netterville received $700,000 after state and federal taxes were withheld.
