POWERBALL HAS REACHED HIGHEST JACKPOT SINCE 2010

Saturday night closed the night without a jackpot winner, giving the chance to players all across the 42 different states it is sold to still have a chance to pocket this jackpot, well if their pocket can hold it. Because there was no jackpot winner in the Saturday night drawing, the grand prize will blow up to an estimated $245 million by Wednesday’s drawing. The estimated value of the jackpots is derived from conservative estimates provided by the lotteries, very often when it is time for the drawing, the figure is a big higher tan estimated. Based on the estimates the cash value for the new jackpot is $146.2 million if the winner decides to take his winning using the lump-sum option, after taxes. The other modality the winner can choose to cash the winnings is by choosing the annuity option wherein he or she will receive the prize in 30 payments spread over 29 years.

This time there were 12 lucky tickets that matched the Even though there were no jackpot winners, 12 tickets matched first five numbers and won the second-place prize that pays $200,000: 3 from Florida, 1 from Kentucky, 1 from Louisiana, 1 from Massachusetts, 1 from New Jersey, 1 from New Mexico, 2 from New York, 1 from Oregon, and 1 from Pennsylvania.
Only one of the second-place prize tickets sold was purchased with the Power Play option. The ticket sold in Louisiana with this option multiplied the prize to a wholesome $1 million.

There were sixty-four winners that matched the four white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Of those tickets, seven were purchased with the Power Play option, which multiplies the prize by 5, thus these seven winners will actually receive a total cash prize of $50,000.

The Powerball winning numbers for Saturday, October 29th were: 11, 16, 40, 51, and 56, with Powerball number 38. The Power Play number was 5.

The speculation is heating up: which state will issue the winning ticket and who will be the amazingly big and bountiful jackpot; will it build up to be an even more impressive jackpot? All this we will know until the next drawing on Wednesday 2nd. For the meanwhile for $1 per Powerball ticket players will still have the chance to aim at this sky-rocketing jackpot and if they fail, by purchasing the Power Play option for only $1 more players have the chance to end up getting great prizes too.
