Many lottery players relate their wins to flashes of genius that struck them at the right moment and at the right time. Many wins also occur when players decide to try new tactics such as pooling with co-workers to buy Powerball tickets every week or maybe waiting for a new game to come out and be the first to try it out. Many have reported very pleasant experiences by going out of their way letting their lottery wins happen. Lottery checker
Rocky Bibee and his mother Linda Fulp are the first winners of a game called Carolina Black and they actually did not even know that the game existed. Now they are making a lot of plans which are fun and will benefit the whole family. These residents of Eden in Rockingham County plan to use the $100,000 they won playing Carolina Black to purchase a car, take their family on a Disney World vacation and start a college fund for Bibee’s children.
Mother and son decided just recently to pool their money to purchase lottery tickets together, simply because they thought that it would give them better odds for winning without an impact in their pockets. A friend of theirs suggested that they could try out the new Carolina Black game and that is exactly what they did. Last week Linda decided to stop by Goraya Best Stop on East Aiken Road in Eden and decided to give it a try to the Carolina Black, the newest Carolina scratcher launched last Tuesday. She had no idea what the game was all about, she simply bought it and scratched.
“I scratched it right there in the car,” Fulp said. “I called my son right then and there and told him I was coming over.”
Bibee and Fulp collected a check for $68,001 after state and federal taxes. They are the first to claim the top prize in the Carolina Black game.
“I can’t believe it,” Bibee said as he collected the winnings he and his mother will share. “It is just surreal. Even sitting here it hasn’t sunk in yet.”
