MORTGAGE FREE AT LAST!
July 26, 2012

Jim Latta of Brazil, Indiana will soon be able to take good chunk of his worries off from his shoulders for he has just won a prize worth $120,000. The Clay County school teacher stopped for a Diet Pepsi to quench his thirst and received much more than that.. The lucky man bought his soda and a $5 Double Platinum 20X Scratch-off worth $120,000.

“This makes retirement a reality,” said Latta. “I didn’t want to retire while I still have a mortgage to pay. I can pay it all off now. It’s going to be great!”

Latta is an industrial technology teacher and he has no plans to retire anytime soon, however he is excited to see that now he will be able to make concrete plans toward that goal.

After purchasing his ticket at Berry’s Mini Mart at 710 E. Ohio Street in Rockville this morning, Latta and his girlfriend, Lainey Kelley, headed straight for Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis and claimed his prize.

“He should change his name from Jim Latta to Jim Lotto,” said Kelley.

Latta is the first lucky player to claim a top prize on the Double Platinum 20X Scratch-off. At the time of this note five top prizes still remain for this game.

Virginia Man is Doubly Surprised

Life is full of surprises, they say. But you never know what it is all about until you are personally surprised. And for a happy Virginia retiree he definitely had the chance to experience surprise in his every nerve and pore. First he received the surprise of winning $50,000 from Bonus Match 5. But he was doubly surprised when he went to claim this win and discovered that he would be paid the $50,000 in full thanks to a special promotion which allows the winner to receive his prize taxes paid. He checked the winning numbers hours after the drawing last Wednesday night. “I had to look at them over and over,” he said with a chuckle. “I just couldn’t believe that it was real.” As excited as he was, he kept his late-night joy to himself. “I wanted desperately to tell my wife – but I knew she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep.”
