MAN INVESTS MEGA MILLIONS PRIZE IN OWN BUSINESS
August 18, 2011

This year has been extremely lucky for Don Seawater from Los Osos, California. His wife managed to win a $45,000 jackpot at a Wheel of Fortune slot machine earlier this year, and now Don managed to win a $168,814 prize at the Mega Millions game. The man already claimed his prize from the California State Lottery. Lottery numbers

However, even though his luck has been above average this year, Don Seawater did not get carried away. Most lottery winners often use the money to buy something fancy or go on an expensive trip. Well, Don Seawater simply mans to invest the money into his business. Seawater owns Pacific Coast Lumber, an urban forestry recycling company that manufactures products out of salvaged trees. “This money will go a long way toward paying my three workers and buying some new machinery for my business,” Don Seawater stated. “We are one of the few successful urban forestry ventures on the West Coast and this money will help me make the company that much better.”

Don Seawater bought his lottery tickets from the Padre Liquor, located at 3250 South Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo. He purchased $3 worth of lottery tickets, all of them quick picks. One managed to get the first 5 Mega Millions numbers (9, 43, 51, 54 and 55) right and missed only the Mega number 13. If he would have nailed the Mega, he would have received $16 million. He probably would have gone on an expensive trip then, but as things stand, the $168,814 still managed to make him extremely happy.

Mega Millions is one of the biggest lottery games in the United States. It’s currently played in 42 states, and in order to win, a player must choose 5 out of 56 numbers and a Mega number from a pool of 1 to 46. Draws are held twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays. You can buy Mega Millions lottery tickets from hundreds of thousands of state lottery retailers across the country, and they only cost $1 each. Lottery winning numbers
