For some luck strikes once in a lifetime, for some others luck can actually strike twice either during the same day or week or couple of days. As impossible as it seems, it actually does happen. Lottery numbers
Daniel Sweeney Jr. of Fredericksburg had a day which many never thought it would be barely possible. First he visited the Lottery’s Northern Virginia Customer Service Center in Woodbridge to cash in a $2,500 winning ticket. On his way home, he stopped for gas at the 7-Eleven at 13897 Telegraph Road in Woodbridge and picked up a $100,000 Cash Cyclone Scratcher just for fun. Who would have ever known that the ticket was worth a $100,000 prize?
As soon as he discovered he had won, yet again he immediately phoned his wife and turned around at the nearest intersection to go back to the Lottery Headquarters to claim his second prize of the day. It seems it was simply his lucky day.
On the other hand there is Billy Jack Lassiter of Durham who had a two-day lucky streak it started on a Wednesday when he was scratching a ticket and ended Thursday when he scratched off $100,000 on a Carolina Black instant ticket. His good luck began on a Wednesday when he won $100 playing instant games. The next day, on his way home from work Thursday afternoon, he stopped at Billy’s Mart on Cheek Road in Durham. There, he used some of the $100 prize money he’d won the day before to buy a pair of Carolina Black instant tickets. As he began to scratch the first ticket, he saw the $100,000 prize.
“I thought to myself, ‘Good, now I can get some things taken care of,’” Lassiter said as he collected his winnings. His mind was totally focused on his immediate plans on how he was going to use his net check of $68,001 and they includes paying off his van and truck, as well as making some home repairs.
Lassiter, who has worked for 30 years in the security industry, said that if he ever won the lottery, he wanted to take a special vacation. “I would love to go to Scotland,” he said.
