Joe Denette, the man who managed to win a $30 million jackpot at the USA Mega Millions Lottery, decided to purchase a team at the Camping World Truck Series. “That’s why I decided on the trucks; it’s real racing,” Joe Denette stated. “The Cup side is too much like a business. I don’t want to be in business. I don’t want to have to work at anything. I want to have fun.”

He is now the proud owner of the No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado, with Jason White as his driver. There have been problems with the team this season, as they have had to endure a couple of crashes in the first four races. However, that hasn’t stopped Denette from having as much fun as possible.

“I’m still living a dream,” Joe Denette stated.

Denette said that if it wasn’t for NASCAR, he probably wouldn’t have bought one of the lottery tickets that won the grand prize. Everything started the week when he won, as he managed to win four tickets at the Richmond International Raceway. He decided to share one of his tickets with his brother, and as he was on his way to pick him up from the airport, he stopped to buy 23 lottery tickets. One of those proved to get the lucky numbers (9, 16, 24, 40, 43 with the Mega ball 35) right. The ticket was a quick pick. National lottery

“If I hadn’t won the race tickets, I wouldn’t have stopped to play the lottery then .Some things are just meant to be,” Denette stated. “It was on then,” he said. “I told everybody sitting around me I just won the lottery, but nobody believed me. We tailgated and drank beer and had a blast that night. And we’re still having fun.”

“We want to win races and a championship, for sure,” Jason White stated. “If we have a bad day, Joe tells us to smile and shake it off. He doesn’t put any pressure on us. He wants to win. He’s a very low-keyed guy, but he wants to win. He gives us the tools to succeed, and I really believe we can win a championship. This is a great race team.”
