The next day, Gloria purchased a “Lotto Tree” of unused instant win tickets at her Church’s charity auction and managed to hit the $1 million jackpot. “I can’t shrug off that Jesus had a hand in it,” Sal stated. “No pun intended, but it was a Godsend.”

Gloria later mentioned that this was a double miracle. God had helped her turn her life around and made a believer out of her son.

Even though it is said in the Bible that God does not take kindly to mere mortals testing his existence with demands, this time it went well for the Bentivegnas. Their good fortune has helped turn both their lives around, and everybody is happy.
