Sabrina Sheran from Georgia was visiting her dad in California when she suddenly came upon the chance of raking in $250,000. This trip has now tuned into a trip of a lifetime.
Sheran, is now $250,000 richer after winning a California Lottery Black Scratcher ticket and revealing its amazing prize. Sheran is still in shock and she does not have specific plans for this windfall. However she did express her desire to use some of it to take care of her family. This has been the biggest win for this Georgia native who has won a couple of small prizes in Las Vegas.
Sheran claimed her ticket at the California Lottery’s Van Nuys District Office. The winning ticket was purchased at the Simroy Chevron located at 11203 Glenoaks Blvd in Pacoima (Los Angeles County).
There are a million of ways to secure a lottery ticket, specially one which is a winner but hasn´t been discovered yet. Sometimes they are buried in a box, other times stashed on your wallet and in this case the winning ticket was pinned on the fridge in an empty spot between the family photos and notes. “It blended in with everything else we had there,” he said.
Saturday morning the man’s wife discovered his ticket was worth $250,000.
“Are you sure?” he asked. She was sure.
The $1 Mega Millions ticket he purchased from the Hickory Point #36 on the Easley Hwy. in Piedmont for the July 20 drawing matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Megaball number to win $250,000 prize.
The happy winner is a loyal Lottery fan and buys lottery tickets occasionally, he always opts for the quick pick. However if he had he paid the extra $1 for Megaplier, his $250,000 winnings would have been an automatic $1 million.
He is however very pleased with this win and could not have asked for more. This will allow him to settle his debts and that is a great feeling he has been yearning for quite some time now.
