It is another day, immersed in work and coworkers, routine and tasks, how many of us would love to be able to call it a day earlier and simply leave without much ado? “Get out of here!” That’s what Danny’s coworkers were telling him. In another context you would have thought they were firing Danny or something like that but this is not the case, in fact asking Danny to leave early was totally a favor.

Danny Garcia went to work at a Ford dealership in Albuquerque, New Mexico one morning last week, just like any other day in his life.  Nothing new, but then he decided to check his Mega Millions tickets while at work and to his surprise he won and he won big. “I could feel my heart beating,” he said. “I started shaking.”

Danny matched the first five numbers and that entitles him for the second-tier prize of $250,000 but he was intelligent and he had purchased the Megaplier option with his string of numbers and that maximized his winnings to up to four times.  It is no wonder Danny felt so overwhelmed, so speechless and so excited that he could not even control himself.

Not every day you have the chance to meet someone who becomes $1 million richer at work.  Danny Garcia is the winner of one million bucks and he cannot hide his excitement and neither his co-workers so they all urged him to leave, the sooner the better so that he could immediately head towards the Lottery’s head office and claim his amazing prize.  And that is exactly what he did; he left work early and went to claim his one million dollars!

Now that Mr. Garcia has collected his prize he plans to use the money to help his kids, he is also thinking about the future and would like to create a trust fund for his grandchildren.  He also plans to donate to his church for it is a very important part of him. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the good Lord,” he said.
