The two lottery winners, who wished to keep their identities a secret, have been struggling to get by for years, but they will won’t be needing to do that ever again as they managed to win a $10.5 million jackpot.

“It will be life-changing,” the lottery winners said.

They said their plan is to make sure they no longer need money for the rest of their lives and help their friends and family as much as possible.  For the past 36 years, the couple has been playing the same numbers over and over. They didn’t play the same game every time, but the numbers were always the same.

The Australian version of Powerball is very different from that played in the United States, but the basics are the same. The players there must choose 5 numbers from a pool of 45 and a Powerball from another pool of 45. The best thing about that particular game is that all the prizes are offered in the forms of lump sums and the government does not tax it at all. So what you win is what you get.

The couple said that moments before an official from Tatts Lotteries told them they were the winners, a relative called to ask them if they knew who the winner was, as it was known that it was someone from their town. Lottery checker

“We didn’t know who it was, or course, but we said we hoped it was someone in need of a windfall,” the couple stated.

When the news came, they were just about to go to the K and K Toys store, the outlet which sold them the lucky ticket in the first place. Kevin Bell, the owner of the store, said a lot of people came down to ask if they were the winners.

“A few people have been joking this morning that they’ll be looking out for someone driving a new car. But I think if I won that sort of money I’d be keeping it quiet too,” Kevin Bell stated. State lottery
