November 8, 2011

The most attractive and actually the biggest Powerball jackpot has caused a lot of excitement while it was building up to the impressive amount of $254 million. Thousands of lottery players followed this jackpot week by week. Who would be the lucky one or maybe lucky ones to take home this impressive accumulation? Ticket sales soared for this multi-state game. And finally last week, someone actually hit this jackpot just when they wanted it and where they wanted it. At one of the biggest accumulation stages of this jackpot! Someone won it, but nobody knows who is it. National lottery

According to Powerball officials say someone in Fairfield County bought a Powerball ticket matching all six winning numbers — 12, 14, 34, 39, 46, and 36. However nobody has officially come forward to claim it yet. There´s a rumor circulating that the ticket was sold at Belltown Superette in Stamford, a store with a reputation for selling winning tickets.

“My grandfather right here, number 29. He played my aunt’s … that’s my aunt’s birthday. He won $1 million,” recounted Alexis Nanos. Lottery numbers

However the story does not end here, there seems to be a very interesting new twist in the case of the winning Powerball Lottery ticket. The owner of a convenience store says a man came in claiming to have bought the winning numbers. There seems to be one problem though, and well it is a huge problem, apparently he says lost the ticket. The man says he bought the ticket at Belltown Superette in Stamford.

“He said it’s his number, but he can’t find the ticket lost ticket, so I don’t know what to say. ” said Suni Patel, the owner of the store. She also said that this unknown claimer was a little bit upset. Well who actually wouldn´t in this case, right? She says that the man works for the Stamford Sanitation Department. He claims he bought the ticket and has the winning numbers, but he just doesn’t have the ticket.

Whether it’s true or not the lottery business is suddenly booming and looking very bright for Ms. Patel and her husband’s store.
Suni is optimistic that the winner will come forward to claim his ticket since if he does, she is also rewarded with a commission. She truly expressed that she hoped he would find it. If the guy who says he lost the winning ticket actually bought the winning ticket, he has six months to file a claim, but he’s got to prove he bought it.

As you might have observed, weird things have happened to lottery winners, everything is possible, from winning a huge jackpot, to loosing the ticket, to winning the jackpot multiple times when others win it only once! This is the wealth of lottery stories where everything is possible !
