That day, the retired Federal worker was with her daughter and she asked her daughter to pick out a scratch-off for her while they waited for their usual mechanic. A regular scratcher, her daughter picked out a new ticket which she thought was quite interesting and it was the first one that caught her eye.
When they scratched the ticket they could not believe when a “Wild” symbol appeared, meaning she won 10 times the printed $10,000 prize, a total of $100,000. “I could hardly believe it. I felt so good,” said the woman.
This lucky lady knows exactly what to do with her newfound wealth, she plans to give a portion of her winnings to her family. “I love my family dearly and have always put them first. I want to give some of the winnings to them,” she said. As to what else will she do with the money left after taking care of her family, she plans to have it in the bank. She is not planning anything flashy or extravagant. “I just want to know that I have it – I still have to get my brakes done,” she said.
This time she might recur to the same trick, after all she will still have to wait for the mechanic anyways while her brakes are done. The winning ticket was purchased at Pete’s Liquor Fair on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
