CAN’T BEAT BEGINNER’S LUCK
July 31, 2012

Beginner’s luck, a myth for some but for others is their chance to play a game that they know absolutely nothing about and still walk away with pockets full. Amazing, but it happens every day almost without a reason.

A Lincoln man had a memorable experience at Pancho O’Malley’s on Point Judith Road in Narragansett when he decided to try Keno, a game he had never played before. He did not know how it worked but figured out that he could give it a try. He played a $2 wager on a 7-spot game. All seven of his numbers somehow came up giving him the base win of $9,000. But that is not all; he had also doubled his wager by adding the Keno Plus features, thus increasing his prize to $36,000 when the multiplier was drawn. This initial good luck with the game has given the winner such a good experience that he will play Keno again and with this extra money he plans on helping out his daughter.

Might As Well Enjoy Scratchers While You Can

Antonio Pitti from St. Louis man claimed a $100,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “Black Pearls” Scratchers ticket. Antonio loves to play the lottery and he frequently goes to 7-Eleven, 2807 Sulphur Ave., in St. Louis.

“I go everyday over there,” said Pitti in his thick Italian accent. “Might as well enjoy it while you can. I do my best to enjoy my time scratching them off. I get a winner, loser – hey, it passes my time.”

Pitti is a retired GE employee and got a winning scratcher on July 8. At first he thought he had won $20, but then when he inspected it carefully and closely, he realized that he had won something big. Lottery numbers

“I called my son at home and said, ‘Al, we’ve got to take a drive to Luckytown,’” he recalled.

Antonio is planning to save most of his winnings and also plans to give some to his children. When asked if he would keep on playing he responded with a definite yes.

“You bet,” declared Pitti. “It’s only money. The kids are going to have it when I’m gone. I’ll enjoy it while I can.”
