AN INSTANT $3 MILLION IS POSSIBLE
November 30, 2011

Matthew Martinez posed for the Florida Lottery when he received his oversized check and he looked like a very happy guy by the side of his brother and sister. Who wouldn’t, he just won a whopping $3 Million. National lottery

He has every right to be happy. You’d be happy too if you won what Matthew won!

Matthew Martinez from Belle Glade, won $3 million in November of 2011 playing Florida Lottery’s Gold Rush Tripler instant scratch game. What is more he is only 24, just imagine all you can do when you are young and a millionaire. He also decided to take his winnings as a lump-sum, one-time payment which means he is taking home $1.95 million.

According to lottery officials, the Gold Rush Tripler offers up four top prizes of $3 million and more than five million prizes ranging from $20 to $500,000.

” GOLD RUSH TRIPLER offers better odds of winning $30 to $500 compared to previous GOLD RUSH games, and the best odds ever to win $500,000,” according to Florida Lottery folks. Lottery numbers

Two $3 million prizes are still out there. The Lottery office reports the odds of winning are 1 in 2.95 million.

In spite of what Lottery officials promote about this game there are actually other games in Florida with better odds. So if you live in Florida and have an extra $20 to spend on lottery tickets, you could actually consider going for 20 lines of Florida Lotto instead. With 20 Florida Lotto tickets, you’re odds of winning the jackpot would be about 1-in-1.15-million.

Those are better odds than buying just one Gold Rush Tripler game and the Florida Lotto jackpot is bigger too.

However it is up to you to do the math and select the type of game that will give you better chances to win. Of course, most people don’t even ponder about the odds, many of the winners simply bought a winning ticket out of a whim and without even thinking much about it. Even more so, many jackpot winners have selected their numbers via “quick pick” method, which according to some games specialists (or at least specialists in monitoring the game) have expressed that it is the worst method to select winning numbers.

Theories abound everywhere and one thing is for sure, whatever the odd is of winning, no matter if it is one in two million, there is always a winner. Will that be you?
