ALL HE WANTS IS PRIVACY
December 2, 2011

Powerball winners make it to the headlines as easy as by winning the lottery, of course if that you consider easy. But at any point no matter if you win it big or small, simply by hitting the Powerball jackpot is a sure sign to have the winner´s face all over the newspaper and all over the internet. Once the name and the face is published, automatically it is like resigning to your privacy.

Steven Lloyd really relishes in his privacy, but that somehow came to an end when he resulted to be the winner of a Powerball jackpot worth $37,622,580. Any other day this would be great news. However his win has been overshadowed by the news of the Connecticut Powerball winners. Which is just Lloyd´s luck, because that is exactly what he wants, to go under the radar and have no one actually even pay attention to him. Lucky him for winning the jackpot and for having news by his side. US lottery

“It’s still a shock. Nothing about this is normal. Your head’s just spinning about the next move and the what the next step should be,” Steven Lloyd said about his big win. “I don’t want to change. But it’s naive to think it’s going to stay the same. There is going to be a new normal.”

This much we know about Lloyd he is simply a very private person. He has also declared that he has a very small circle of friends. All he actually wants is to avoid the pitfalls that come with fortune and notoriety. As a sensible man, he wants to be able to manage his newfound wealth in such a way that is most useful to him and by not attracting unwanted attention, he might be able to skid some eminent pitfalls like having people ask him to loan or even give money. But Steven Lloyd is not only saying his privacy is important, he is very serious about it and has already taken a couple of measures to mitigate the notoriety and manage his privacy. For example he already took the first step and has already deactivated his Facebook account and has been trying to remove information about himself from the internet. He has also sought advice from accountants, lawyers, and financial planners.

However, one thing is keeping his privacy, another is the fact that he has won a considerable jackpot! Steven is actually very fortunate to win the lottery. He plans on helping his family, close friends, and community. “I think I’ll be buying dinner for everyone for the rest of my life,” he joked. “No one’s ever going to pick up the tab with me.”
