If a picture is worth more than a thousand words, a picture of a winning lottery ticket is worth much more than words can ever say. A young man bought a $5 lottery ticket and won the top prize worth $100,000. Because he is a man of our days, he instantly took a picture of the ticket with his cell phone and emailed it to his mom and brother. This picture was attached with a message: “Look what I won!”
Now that picture was worth $100,000!
“I bought the ticket on the spur of the moment, just for fun,” he said.
The winner bought the ticket at the Corner Gas & Tackle on Highway 52 in Moncks Corner and took it to his car outside to scratch. When he revealed the win he was calm at first but then his nerves kicked in. He was terribly happy to have won, but he was also preoccupied, after all the money was not in his hands yet. So he got a bit nervous. Lottery winning numbers
“I slept with the ticket, showered with it, and even took it with me to work,” he said. “I didn’t let it out of my sight.”
All of that worried subsided and he was completely relieved when he finally had a day off from work to drive to Columbia to collect his prize. His mother was there by his side on such an important day, she was delighted by her son’s win and also delighted to know that it is actually possible to win the lottery.
“This makes you want to play,” she said staring at the check.
The young winner, who knows exactly what he wanted to do with his windfall has now left a down payment on his first home.
There are still four top prizes of $100,000 waiting for someone to take them home in the $5 Scorchin’ Hot 5’s game. The odds of winning $100,000 are 1 in 480,000.
Corner Gas & Tackle in Moncks Corner also won by selling a winning ticket, they received a commission of $1,000.
