Gisela Ruiz of Hamilton does not buy lottery often, she might play “every once in a while, maybe once to twice a month,” and this is her first big win. She has just claimed her first Powerball prize with a ticket purchased at the Super 1 Foods located at 1131 North 1st in Hamilton.
It was Gisela’s daughter Kathy, who works in the bakery at Super 1 Food who gave her the ticket. Kathy bought it as a Quick Pick, allowing the computer generated program to randomly pick the winning numbers for them. After the drawing they both looked up the winning numbers online together.
However Gisela was not sure of how much she had actually won so when she went to the Lottery Headquarters to pick up the check she found out that she had won $10,000.
“You deserve it,” said her daughter Kathy of Gisela’s big Powerball win. Lottery numbers
Gisela said that she plans on using the winnings to pay bills and is going to give most of it to her daughter.
Montana Cash Finds a Home
Vic Quick of Billings has just claimed his Montana Cash jackpot corresponding for the July 18th jackpot, the prize is worth $110,000. The ticket was bought at Albertsons located at 511 Central Avenue in Billings.
Vic was quite uncertain after his win, so even after seeing his ticket numbers match the winning numbers, he went online to confirm he had actually won, however he still had his doubts. However he did read that someone in Billings had won and felt more confident that he held a winning ticket for the jackpot.
It was until Vic finally went to the Lottery headquarters and had them confirm that his win was totally legitimate that he could actually put his doubt to rest. Vic, who religiously buys Montana Cash tickets every Wednesday and Saturday, said that he kept his Montana Cash win a secret until the day he collected the money.
As for this windfall, Vic is planning to give much of the money to his mother, and said confidently, “Why play if you don’t think you’re going to win?”
