WYTHEVILLE WOMAN WINS $100,000 TOP PRIZE IN JEWEL 7S

Donna Kolis is no stranger to winning big in the Virginia Lottery. Last year she won $50,000 playing a Scratcher game. Now the Wytheville woman has done it again. She won the $100,000 top prize in Jewel 7s.
She bought the ticket at Kangaroo Express, 690 East Main Street in Wytheville. She scratched the ticket while sitting in the car with her husband.
“I was hitting my husband on the shoulder every time I scratched a 7,” she told Lottery officials as she claimed her prize.
Ms. Koils, who is retired, said she intends to pay bills with her winnings.
Jewel 7s (game # 1324) is one of dozens of games available from the Virginia Lottery. Tickets can be either diamond white, like the one Ms. Kolis bought, or sapphire blue. Ms. Kolis is the sixth player to claim $100,000 in Jewel 7s, which means two top-prize tickets are unclaimed.
