WILLIAMSBURG COUPLE WINS A RED HOT PRIZE! $250,000 IN RED HOT 5S DOUBLER
May 22, 2012
Mary and Grover Campbell of Williamsburg have a system. She buys the Scratcher tickets and he scratches them. The “teamwork” had a positive result when their Red Hot 5’s Doubler ticket from the Virginia Lottery won $250,000.

“He scratched it and about had a heart attack!” Mrs. Campbell told Lottery officials as she and her husband claimed their prize.

She bought the winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 8185 Croaker Road in Williamsburg.

The Campbells, who are both retired, said they have no immediate plans for their winnings. “I need to get used to the idea first!” she said.
