WEST PLAINS MAN WINS $500,000

A West Plains man claimed the second prize of $500,000 on a Missouri Lottery “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” Scratchers ticket. Lucas Threlkeld, 31, bought the winning ticket at Party Pantry, 1460 Gibson St., in West Plains. Like the top prize of $3 million, the second prize includes 29 percent withholding for state and federal taxes, so Threlkeld’s check will be $500,000.
