VOLUSIA COUNTY MAN CLAIMS HALF A MILLION DOLLAR SCRATCH-OFF PRIZE ON HIS BIRTHDAY
July 20, 2012
The Florida Lottery announces that Fred Denegri, 58, of Ormond Beach, claimed a $500,000 prize in the $3,000,000 MONOPOLY Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. He purchased the winning ticket at Snappy Food Mart, located at 1716 Ocean Shore Boulevard in Ormond Beach.
According to Denegri, the last few months have been pretty lucky. "Recently, I had two winning CASH 3 tickets worth $500 and won a $1,000 Scratch-Off prize. I bought the $500,000 winning ticket yesterday and would have claimed it right away, but it was after business hours. As it worked out, I am here collecting the winnings on my birthday," Denegri said.
The $20 Scratch-Off game, $3,000,000 MONOPOLY, has two $3 million top prizes and three $500,000 prizes remaining. The overall odds of winning are one in 2.93.
