ST LOUIS MAN WINS $55,558 MISSOURI LOTTERY PRIZE
August 14, 2012
A St. Louis man claimed a $55,558 top prize on a Missouri Lottery “Bingo Mania” Scratchers ticket. Raymond Tunnicliff, 60, bought the winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 703 Union Road, in St. Louis. “I scratched it on the front porch,” began Tunnicliff. “It was pretty nice, and I was just sitting outside scratching the ticket. I thought at first that I had just hit, like, $90. Then I saw I had the other line, and I was kind of dumbfounded. Couldn’t believe it.” Tunnicliff said he enjoys playing bingo Scratchers games on occasion. He frequently stops at that 7-Eleven to pick out a game. “I just stopped by and picked a couple of them up,” he said. As far as plans for the windfall, Tunnicliff has not made any decisions. “I think I’m still kind of in shock, basically,” he said. “I’m trying to believe that it actually was true. Pay off bills, but other than that, we haven’t really discussed it, because we never thought that we would hit it.” Tunnicliff and his wife, Sandra, now have plenty of time to consider that luxury.
