SECOND HALF OF SPLIT MONTANA CASH JACKPOT CLAIMED

Cindy Vook of Butte Wednesday claimed a $10,000 Montana Cash prize — the second half of a $20,000 jackpot for the Aug. 25 draw, which split after two separate tickets matched all five numbers drawn.
Sue Ellen Carpenter of Butte claimed the first half of the jackpot Aug. 28. Her ticket was purchased at the Town Pump at 531 S. Montana — only one mile away from where its twin was sold to Cindy at Thriftway Super Stop, 1900 S. Montana.
Cindy and her husband said they’ve played the Lottery since it started 25 years ago, most of the time playing Montana Cash and Powerball. They’ve won smaller prizes before, but now they’re jackpot winners too! And despite sharing the prize, the Vooks are no less excited.
Cindy said her winnings would go toward savings for now.
