ROWAN COUNTY MAN TO TAKE A VACATION WITH $303,256 CASH 5 PRIZE

James Stockton, a resident of Salisbury in Rowan County, plans to take a vacation with the $303,256 prize he won in the July 7 Carolina Cash 5 drawing. He matched all five numbers to win the jackpot.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Stockton said. “I played Cash 5 because I wanted to see if my odds were better. It sure looks like they were. This is a good day.“
With his winnings, worth $206,214 after taxes, Stockton also plans to save for the future. The ticket was purchased at the Village Grocery and Garden Shop on Highway 601 North in Salisbury.
