ROANOKE WOMAN MATCHES FIVE NUMBERS TO WIN $100,000 IN CASH 5

“It feels good. This is once in a lifetime.”
That’s how Ermelinda Callweng of Roanoke described her feelings as she and her husband claimed the $100,000 top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game.
Her ticket matched all five numbers in the June 23 day drawing. She bought the winning ticket at Kroger, 4488 Electric Road in Roanoke.
She used family birthdays to select the numbers on her ticket: 6-15-16-27-29. When her husband saw the winning numbers online and realized they had a winning ticket, “he banged on the table because he was so excited!”
The couple plans to use the winnings to save for retirement.
