RICHMOND WOMAN WINS $100,000 IN CASH 5

When Maria DiLiberto bought a ticket for the June 23 Cash 5 night drawing, she selected the numbers on her ticket using family birthdays. That strategy paid off for the Richmond woman when she matched all five numbers to win the $100,000 top prize.
Those winning numbers were 8-13-22-25-33. She bought the winning ticket at Kroger, 1356 Gaskins Road in Henrico.
She discovered she had the winning ticket when tuned in to a local newscast and saw the same numbers that were on her ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she told Virginia Lottery officials as she claimed her prize.
The retiree said she intends to use her winnings to pay bills.
