POWERBALL GAME RESULTS IN ANOTHER NJ MILLIONAIRE
June 16, 2012
The new Powerball game structure produced another New Jersey millionaire when that player matched the 5 white balls selected in last night's drawing. Under the new game structure, when a player correctly selects the 5 white balls the win is $1 million compared with $200,000 in the original game. If that player had also added the Power Play feature to their ticket purchase, that win would have doubled to $2 million . The winning $1,000,000 ticket was purchased in Bergen County at 7-11 #29430 (N), located at 91 Broadway in Elmwood Park.
“Congratulations to this fortunate lottery player who purchased the winning ticket and to the retailer that sold it,” said the Lottery's Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling the winning ticket, this retailer has become one more of the Lottery's ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
In addition to the Garden State's $1 million winner, 19,136 other New Jersey players took home $115,222 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Hedinger.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, June 16 drawing were: 08, 14, 15, 16, and 27. The Red Power Ball number was 26.
