PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY MAN WINS TOP PRIZE AND JUMPS FOR JOY

Bobby Farmer of Hurt has been playing the same numbers in Cash 5 for about a year or two. There was nothing unusual or out of the ordinary when he bought a ticket for the July 17 night drawing, he told Lottery officials.
He realized he had won while watching the draw show on television. He didn’t call anyone. He just put the ticket in his safety deposit box until he could bring the winning ticket in. When asked how it felt he said, “I could jump for joy.”
Mr. Farmer matched all five numbers in the July 17 Cash 5 night drawing. The winning numbers were 1-4-9-29-34. He bought the ticket at L T L’s Place at 3740 Grit Road in Hurt.
