ORANGE COUNTY WOMAN WINS $100,000 SCRATCH-OFF PRIZE
July 12, 2012
Anhthu Thi Ngo, a resident of Carrboro in Orange County, says she has no immediate plans for the $100,000 prize she won playing the Super Lucky 7’s scratch-off game on Tuesday.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” Ngo said. “My whole body froze and I couldn’t talk. I’m very happy and I’m very appreciative of the lottery for giving me the chance to win.”

Ngo received a check for $68,001 after state and federal taxes were withheld. The winning ticket was purchased at the Key Food Mart on West Rosemary Street in Chapel Hill.
