How to Play Lotto:
Easier to win. Easier to play. The look and feel of the classic Lotto game is back, because that's what Washington players said they wanted.
They wanted to see more Washington millionaires. Well, Jackpots will be easier to win. They wanted their numbers back—the chance to pick 6 lucky numbers from 01 to 49. With the GOLD Ball gone, players can do just that. Of course, the classic Quick Pick option is still available for players who prefer to let the computer pick their winning numbers.
Three times a week, you have a shot at winning a million dollars or more. Simply pick any six numbers between 01 and 49 by filling out a playslip or, if you prefer, let the computer pick the numbers for you. Then, check your numbers against the winning numbers that are drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at 8 p.m.
If all 6 numbers match, you win the JACKPOT! Of course, you could also win other cash prizes by matching three, four or five numbers.
With Lotto, you get the three chances a week to strike it rich. Lotto tickets only cost $1, but they're good for two "plays." In other words, every ticket gives you two chances to win. Check your numbers against the winning numbers. If all six numbers match, you're a Jackpot winner. You can play the same numbers up to ten drawings in advance. So, when a big Jackpot comes around, you'll be in the game and, just maybe, in the money too.
Washington's Lottery Lotto drawings are every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. Pacific Time.
All Lotto Jackpots begin at $1 million. If more than one player picks the same winning six numbers out of 49, the winners split the Jackpot evenly. The Jackpot keeps growing based on statewide sales until there is a Jackpot winner!

All Lotto Jackpots begin at $1 million and are paid in 25 annual installments, or as a one-time 50 percent payment. If more than one player picks the same six winning numbers, the winners will split the Jackpot evenly. If no one wins, the Jackpot grows bigger and bigger until someone does.
A Lotto ticket only costs $1 and gives you two chances, or, "plays." You may also play the same numbers up to ten drawings in advance. Winners have 180 days from the date of the Lotto drawing to claim a prize. Picking 6 of 49 means easier-to-win Jackpots.
*Jackpot dollar amount is determined by number of tickets sold. So, the more people who play, the higher the Jackpot.
