NEW MILLIONAIRE IN NEW JERSEY!
August 13, 2012
The new Powerball game structure produced one more New Jersey millionaire when that player matched the 5 white balls selected in Saturday night's drawing. Under the new game structure, when a player correctly selects the 5 white balls the win is $1 million automatically. If that player had added the Power Play feature to his or her ticket purchase, the win would have doubled to $2 million . The winning $1,000,000 ticket for the Saturday, August 11 drawing was purchased at:
Express Food Mart, 321 Mountain Ave., Hackettstown, Warren County
The New Jersey Lottery also had three lucky players win the Powerball third prize of $10,000 each. If they had purchased their tickets with the Power Play option their prize would have been $40,000.
The $10,000 winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
Trump Taj Mahal Association, 1000 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, Atlantic County
Raritan Discount Liquors, 510 Raritan St., Sayreville, Middlesex County
7-11 #32948 (S), 3701 Route 33 & Jumping Brook, Neptune, Monmouth County
“Congratulations to all of these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers who sold them,” said the Lottery's Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling the $1,000,000 and the $10,000 winning tickets, these retailers have become four more of the Lottery's ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
In addition to the Garden State's second and third prize winners, 82,276 other New Jersey players took home $435,091 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Hedinger.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, August 11 drawing were: 04, 13, 39, 46, and 51. The Red Power Ball number was 1.
