MISSOULA WOMAN CLAIMS $110,000 WILD CARD JACKPOT
September 6, 2012
Wendy Allik of Missoula Wednesday claimed a $110,000 Wild Card jackpot for the Aug. 29 draw with a ticket from Ole’s Country Store, 1600 S. Russell St., Missoula.
Wild Card apparently is Wendy’s lucky game. Last summer, she won a $5,000 prize with a ticket she purchased from a Billings Albertsons while visiting her son and granddaughter. She also enjoys playing Montana Cash, she said.
Wendy is sharing her jackpot winnings with her mother. She surprised her with the news Wednesday morning and then drove with her to Helena to claim the prize together.
Wendy started playing the Lottery with her dad more than 20 years ago. He would pick the numbers, she would get the tickets, and they’d check the results together. Although she never won big while playing with her dad, she said she still always thinks about him while playing.
“My balls finally rolled,” she said, referring to the ball machine previously used to conduct the Lottery draws she would watch with her dad.
