MADISON HEIGHTS COUPLE PLAYS THE MONEY GAME AND WINS $100,000
June 22, 2012
David Staton stopped for a bottle of water. He ended up with a Virginia Lottery ticket worth $100,000.

It happened when the Madison Heights man was driving in Fork Union. He stopped at Jake’s Gas-N-Go at 4108 James Madison Highway and bought a The Money Game ticket.

“Something just told me to buy that ticket,” he told Lottery officials as he and his wife Donna claimed their prize.

When the construction foreman scratched the ticket in his car, it looked like a $10,000 winner. He took it back in the store, where the clerks saw that it was actually a $100,000 winner.

“They were more excited than I was!” he said.
