LAST MINUTE DECISION NETS SHOREVIEW MAN $100,213

After a long day of working around the house on Sept. 3, John Janes of Shoreview was debating whether or not he should go out and buy some Northstar Cash tickets for that night’s drawing. But after checking the jackpot amount on the computer and seeing that it was over $99,000, he decided he better go get some tickets.
That ended up being a great decision for Janes – he was the sole winner of the $100,213 jackpot.
“It’s a good thing I decided to go out,” Janes recalled as he claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Sept. 5.
He purchased the winning ticket at Gas Plus, located at 3592 N. Lexington Ave. in Shoreview.
The winning Northstar Cash numbers drawn on Sept. 3 were 2-5-6-14-23.
