LAFAYETTE WOMAN CLAIMS CASH FRENZY TOP PRIZE

Persistence paid off for Martha Mae Petry when she won a $100,000 top prize from the Louisiana Lottery's Cash Frenzy scratch-off game.
"I always buy scratch-offs. I won $10 on a scratch-off just last week, but this, this took 20 minutes for it to sink in," share Petry, still stunned, when she claimed her prize at the Lottery's Lafayette office last week.
The 63-year-old Gueydan resident purchased her top-prize winning ticket from Marceaux's Superette on Highway 91 in Gueydan. She plans to purchase a new car with her winnings.
Cash Frenzy is a $5 game that features 15 chances to win on each ticket. The game has two top prizes remaining as of today.
