HIGH POINT RETIREE WINS $100,000 ON $5 TICKET
June 21, 2012
James Douglas of High Point said he’s “just happy” to be a $100,000 lottery winner. Tuesday afternoon, he purchased a Super Lucky 7’s ticket for $5 from the Pantry Shop on West English Road in High Point and scratched it.

“I just happened to win – that’s all,” he said.

Douglas, who worked for 35 years building fiberglass boats before retiring in 2006, said he plans to pay bills and the mortgage with his after-tax winnings of $68,001.
