HAMILTON WOMAN CLAIMS $10,000 POWERBALL PRIZE
July 23, 2012
Gisela Ruiz of Hamilton Monday claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize with a ticket purchased at the Super 1 Foods located at 1131 North 1st in Hamilton.

Gisela’s daughter Kathy, who works in the bakery at Super 1 Foods, gave her the ticket. Kathy purchased it as a Quick Pick, and they looked up the winning numbers online together.

Not sure how much she had won, Gisela was surprised when she came down to pick up the check and found she had won $10,000!

Gisela plays the Lottery “every once in a while, maybe once to twice a month,” and has never won anything like this, she said.

“You deserve it,” said her daughter Kathy of Gisela’s big Powerball win.

Gisela said that she plans on using the winnings to pay bills and is going to give most of it to her daughter.
