GROCERY MANAGER BAGS $100,000 IN VIRGINIA LOTTERY GAME
July 3, 2012
When Anthony Robinson of Richmond discovered he’d won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s $100,000 Cash Cyclone game, he asked the clerk not to tell anyone.
“I just got a little nervous,” he later told Virginia Lottery officials. “I went on back to work and worked all day.”
Mr. Robinson bought the winning ticket at Ash Tobacco Shop, 143 Junction Drive in Ashland. He then kept it in a lock box more than two months until he redeemed it at the Lottery’s Prize Zone West in Henrico County. He told Lottery officials his winnings will help pay for his children’s education.
