GEORGETOWN MAN WINS THE LOTTERY BUT WILL HAVE TO KEEP WORKING
August 9, 2012
A Georgetown man is glad he won the Lottery, but he’s a little let down he didn’t win enough to retire.
$100,000 has still given him plenty to smile about at work.
The winner told lottery officials he spent $5 for the Scorchin’ Hot 5’s scratch-off at the Scotchman #17 on Black River Rd. in Georgetown. He scratched the ticket outside the store in his car. Dazed, he sat for 10 minutes before he was able to drive off.
“I was waiting for someone to slap me and wake me up,” he said.
He’s planning to take a couple of days off from work to celebrate.
