FRANKLIN COUNTY MAN WINS 10X THE MONEY
June 5, 2012
“Man, I can’t believe this!”

That was Herman Dooley’s reaction when the Wirtz man discovered he’d won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s 10x the Money Scratcher game.

He won with a ticket he bought at Stop In Food Store, 7125 Booker T. Washington Highway in Wirtz, where he works.

Mr. Dooley told Lottery officials he took his young son to Disney World two years ago when the then-three-year-old was in a wheelchair, recovering from surgery. With his winnings, he hopes to take his son back, “now that he can run and jump.”
